A drafting sports game for two players.
As a coach, assign a player to hustle and check your opponent, preventing them from stopping your pass-and-shoot to score. That is, unless they anticipated your plan and you're falling into their trap!
Draftcard is a tactical card game for two players where drafting skill, positioning, and reading your opponent lead to victory.
Just as the core of football/soccer is the feet and the ball, Draftcard's base is the draft and card positioning. Ability cards let you interrupt movement, interrupt shots, check players to steal the ball, or change the resolution order. Cards are drafted face up, assigned faced down, and resolve sequentially with potential interrupts.
You probably have everything you'll need to play:
- A poker or bridge deck of 52 cards plus a joker.
- An object to represent the ball such as a die, coin, or an unused card.
Draftcard is free to download and free to share. Let us know what you think, too. If you enjoy playing Draftcard, donate to show your support—Thanks!
